OUR STORY

Good Eggs has been 12 months in the dreaming, planning and creating. The vision of an ethical free range egg farm that is truly honest and genuine in the way it operates is here in Northland.

We searched Whangarei and it’s surrounds for the perfect setting for our free range farm and eventually found it just west of Whangarei in the village of Poroti. We knew instantly that it was right. The mature native trees, the natural water, the volcanic soil and the space confirmed it.

Our emphasis was to create an environment for the ultimate in hen health and wellbeing. Therefore, what followed was much planning, investment in infrastructure and attention to detail. But it has been worth it, our hen farm is just as we envisioned with wide open spaces with grassy paddocks, trees for shade and shelter and top of the range all new housing. There are no gimmicks or closed doors. We are real and this is our passion.

I’m Bridget, business woman, Mum, wife and now committed egg farmer. I am so fortunate to have my husband Craig by my side as my builder, inventor, all round gofer and business partner. Welcome to Good Eggs. Follow us as we embark on our journey.

2018 Update

We are now traveling throughout Northland delivering our Good Eggs to cafes and stockists, from Whangarei north to Kerikeri, Paihia and Kawakawa and from Whangarei south to Ruakaka, Marsden Point and Waipu. Northland has embraced our fresh Good Egg!

We came into this industry with our eyes wide open, but these little birds have taught us so much.  They have taught us what we put into their wellbeing will pay off with a wonderful fresh and natural egg for Northland to enjoy.

Thank you Northland for all your support.

At Good Eggs we pride ourselves on a farming practice that is both ethical and sustainable.
